Tracking or Reporting Instructional Hours
You do not need to track or report instructional hours. Colorado law requires a minimum of 172 days of instruction per year for students enrolled in an umbrella school, but it does not mandate tracking hours. You are responsible for providing instruction on the days you report as planned attendance during enrollment.
The 172-day instruction requirement with an average of 4 hours per day applies specifically to homeschooling under a Notice of Intent (NOI), not to students enrolled in umbrella schools.
